Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 3/4 cup basmati rice (white used in image)
- 1/2 lemon, juice and zest
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 pinch white pepper
Directions
- In a medium pot, bring the water to a boil.
- Add the salt and basmati rice.
- Add lemon zest and juice.
- Bring the liquid to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer.
- *Cover and cook for 20-25 minutes, or until the rice is tender.
- Add the thyme and white pepper, then toss with fork to keep rice fluffy.
*Wrap lid in small towel. Creates best rice by absorbing some moisture. Careful the ends don’t get too close to the heat.
