InstantPot Baby Back Ribs

InstantPot Baby Back Ribs

I want my…(instantpot)
Baby back, Baby Back, Baby Back…Ribs

Tell me you didn’t hear the jingle in your head from Chili’s. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, don’t worry bout it.

For good ribs using an Instant Pot and oven or grill for char keep on scrolling. I made these for Father’s Day and we hated them so much we ate them all….and licked the bones…and our fingers after.  Obviously I’m joking and we loved them, hope you do too!

Ingredients

  • Pork rack of ribs (Substitute with Beef ribs if desired)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Bbq Sauce Of your choice (I’ve used Stubb’s Sweet n Spicy and Sweet Baby Ray’s Original, both wonderful.)

Directions

  1. Season ribs with salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder.
  2. Place roasting rack in InstantPot and appx 1-1.5 c water in base. (Water line should be below the metal rack.)
  3. Place ribs on rack on a circular side standing position, Bones vertical.
  4. Close lid and seal vent, set InstantPot to manual: high pressure cooking for 16-28 min (I did 24 min for 4 lbs)
  5. While ribs cook, preheat oven to 450 or get grill fired up to finish the ribs after Instant Pot.
  6. Let InstantPot vent naturally for about 15min then open the vent to release the rest if needed. Careful to keep your hand away from the vent as the steam will burn you!
  7. Remove ribs from InstantPot and coat in BBQ sauce with a basting brush or whatever you have available. Be sure they are coated on all sides.
  8. Place rack of ribs on baking rack/sheet and put in oven for about 10-15 min (or place on grill.) Reapply bbq sauce about halfway through, and more than once as desired.
  9. When meat has desired char, remove from heat and get ready to eat! Yum!!!!
